Cengage Group in the United States is hiring a Staff Accountant, Global Accounting & Reporting to join the Consolidations & Group Reporting team. You will participate in high-level financial reporting and consolidation activities in a global company environment.

This role emphasizes journal entries, balance sheet analysis, and coordination with accounting and finance teams to close books, supported by tools like BlackLine and SAP Group Reporting.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 1–3 years of accounting, financial reporting, or audit experience.
• Public accounting experience preferred.
• Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP and core financial statements.
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced close.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate with accounting, finance, and cross-functional teams.
• Curiosity about consolidations and financial reporting.

Mansioni

• Support financial close by preparing journals and reconciliations.
• Perform balance sheet analysis and follow up on open items.
• Maintain documentation for reconciliations and reporting.
• Conduct analytical reviews of reconciliations as part of quality checks.
• Assist with BlackLine tasks and resolution of issues.
• Perform routine financial-data validations and system tie-outs.
• Support audit requests with reports and documentation.
• Research discrepancies and advance complex items for review.
• Coordinate with teams to obtain supporting information.
