Cengage Group is seeking a Staff Accountant, Global Accounting & Reporting to join the Consolidations & Group Reporting team. You will contribute to accurate financial reporting and consolidation in a global environment, engaging in high‑level accounting tasks.

The role requires a 1–3 year background in accounting or financial reporting, a solid US GAAP foundation, and strong collaboration across accounting and finance teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 1–3 years accounting, financial reporting, or audit experience.
• Public accounting experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP and financial statements.
• Intermediate Excel proficiency.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with financial close by preparing journals and reconciliations.
• Conduct balance sheet analysis and run reports for close items.
• Maintain documentation for reconciliations and reporting.
• Support audit requests with reports and docs.
• Assist with BlackLine tasks and reconciliation workstreams.
