Job summary

OpenAI is seeking a Compensation Operations Lead to scale global variable compensation programs across its GTM teams. You will own systems, processes, administration, and payouts, ensuring accuracy, scalability, governance, and trust from the field.

You will partner with Revenue Operations, Finance, Total Rewards, HRIS, and GTM Systems to design scalable workflows, govern payouts, and enable field teams. This role demands strong operational rigor and a customer-service mindset.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in compensation operations, sales operations, revenue operations, or related roles.
• Experience administering variable compensation programs at scale.
• Strong experience with compensation systems and tooling.
• Experience managing payout cycles, quota workflows, plan administration, and governance.

Responsibilities

• Administer compensation plans, quotas, credits, adjustments, exceptions, and payout processes.
• Manage compensation workflows, approvals, and annual planning cycles.
• Support compensation launches, plan changes, and operational readiness across GTM teams.
• Design scalable processes for accurate and efficient compensation administration.
• Own compensation systems and integrations, including configuration, testing, release management, and vendor relationships.
• Lead payouts, reconciliations, and governance, with reporting and dashboards to improve visibility.
