Job summary

WP Engine is hiring a Principal Global Compensation Manager to design and evolve our global pay programs, from cash to equity, across a distributed workforce. You will partner with executive leadership to translate business goals into competitive structures and ensure pay transparency and regulatory compliance worldwide.

You will roll up your sleeves in Workday Advanced Compensation, influence stakeholders, and guide job architectures and level sets for a high-tech, remote-first company.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive compensation experience in high-tech/SaaS, with at least 3 years in a lead advisory role.
• Hands-on configuration experience in Workday Advanced Compensation.
• Deep knowledge of global compensation structures, international market dynamics, and regulatory environments.
• Master-level compensation modeling, data analysis, and financial planning skills.
• Ability to influence, consult with, and present to executive leadership and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop, evolve, and lead global cash, bonus, and equity compensation strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Champion global pay transparency readiness and compliance, including EU and US laws.
• Oversee annual merit, promotion, and equity cycles with Finance and Workday.
• Support executive compensation design and equity modeling with senior leadership.
• Lead global job architecture, leveling frameworks, and geographic salary structures for a distributed workforce.
• Advise EE Business Partners and senior leaders on compensation decisions and talent retention.
• Drive due diligence and post-merger compensation integration strategies.
