Job summary

Generac Power Systems is seeking a Global Commodity Manager to lead strategic sourcing and supplier performance across worldwide operations. You will own supplier execution, drive cost reductions, and implement procurement strategies that reduce total cost of ownership while improving quality and risk management.

Responsibilities include negotiating master agreements, defining commodity strategies, and leading cross-functional teams to optimize lead times and supplier performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 6 years’ experience in strategic sourcing, supplier quality or operational management.
• Ability to travel 30%-40% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate master supply agreements to maximize value and cost savings.
• Define and communicate commodity strategy across the organization and suppliers.
• Lead cross-functional teams on quality, price, inventories and material availability.
• Monitor supplier performance and implement cost reduction initiatives.
• Ensure procurement compliance with regulations and company practices.
• Maintain supplier scorecards and report market analyses.
• Optimize lead times across the supply chain.
