Job summary
PROENERGY is seeking a Global Commodity Manager – Forging & Machining to lead sourcing for critical forged and machined components. The role focuses on delivering excellence in quality, delivery, and cost through a global supplier network and strong supplier partnerships.
Reporting to the VP Sourcing, this position requires 7+ years in global sourcing, a technical background, and proven leadership in negotiations and supplier management. Remote United States options are available.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field.
- 7+ years in global sourcing or commodity management.
- Deep technical understanding of manufacturing processes and supply chain constraints for structural components.
- Proven leadership in supplier performance, NPI, and strategic negotiations.
- Fluent English with strong communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Lead the sourcing strategy for forged and machined components across a global supplier network.
- Manage supplier governance, performance reviews, and risk mitigation.
- Drive on-time delivery, quality, and cost improvements through supplier partnerships.
- Oversee NPI readiness and APQP/PPAP/FAI execution with suppliers.
- Negotiate long-term agreements and optimize total cost of ownership.
