Job summary

Generac is seeking a Global Commodity Manager- Electrical to lead strategic sourcing worldwide, own supplier processes and performance, and drive cost reduction and margin improvements through cross-functional collaboration.

You will develop and execute sourcing strategies, negotiate Master Supply Agreements, evaluate suppliers, and lead supplier development and quarterly business reviews to optimize lead times and inventory turns.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• 6 years’ experience in strategic sourcing, supplier quality or operational management
• Ability to travel both domestic and internationally, up to 30% of the time

Responsibilities

• Identify and deliver material cost productivity to COGS using continuous improvement methodologies
• Define and communicate commodity and supplier strategies
• Manage supplier expectations and performance with data analytics
• Develop, negotiate, and execute supplier agreements
• Champion supplier development and quarterly business reviews
• Negotiate Master Supply Agreements to maximize value and inventory turns
• Optimize supply chain lead times from suppliers to customers
• Participate in cross-functional teams on quality, price, inventories and availability
• Own and update supplier scorecards and report market trends
