Job summary

Oracle's Network Region Build (NRB) team designs, deploys, and operates large-scale global cloud networks for OCI regions. The role emphasizes automation, data center fabrics, and advanced networking protocols to support millions of connected servers and diverse backbones and internet connectivity.

The position requires deep networking knowledge, scripting expertise, and collaboration across product teams, with opportunities to influence architecture, reliability, and efficiency at scale.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science preferred and at least 8 years of related experience.
• Experience in large ISP or cloud provider environments.
• Python for automation.
• Experience with networking protocols such as TCP/IP, VPN, DNS, DHCP, and SSL.
• Experience with Internet peering and inter-domain networking.
• Experience with automation and datacenter design—Python or other scripting languages.
• Experience with YANG, OpenConfig, NETCONF.
• Knowledge of network security design, system performance characterization and testing.
• Excellent judgment to influence roadmap direction and priorities.
• Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead network lifecycle programs by defining objectives and delivery procedures.
• Coordinate milestones and supporting tasks across engineers.
• Serve as technical SME in cross-functional activities and escalation.
• Decompose high-level architectures into detailed designs.
• Develop scripts to automate complex tasks for the business unit.
• Lead vendor interactions and RFQ/RFP development.
• Provide guidance to junior staff and peers.
