Job summary

Oracle’s Network Region Build (NRB) team in Austin, TX designs, deploys, and operates large-scale global cloud networks for OCI regions. The role requires deep networking knowledge, automation, and collaboration across vendors and internal teams to support millions of servers and extensive interconnectivity.

The position emphasizes programming for automation, experience with data center fabrics, and multi-cloud initiatives.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science preferred and at least 8 years of related experience.
Experience working in a large ISP or cloud provider environment.
Demonstrated knowledge of Python for automation and datacenter design.
Experience with networking protocols such as TCP/IP, VPN, DNS, DHCP, SSL.
Experience with scripting or automation and datacenter design – Python preferred.
Experience with network modeling and programming – YANG, OpenConfig, NETCONF.

Responsibilities

Lead network lifecycle management programs by defining high-level objectives and delivery procedures.
Coordinate effort of two or three engineers under project leadership.
Advise project/program manager and collaborate with leadership across teams.
Provide technical SME input in cross-functional activities.
Develop scripts to automate non-traditional tasks for the business unit.
Act as SME for root-cause analysis and drive systematic resolution of complex issues.
