Job summary

Oracle NRB team is hiring a Network Engineer to design, deploy, and operate large-scale global cloud networks for OCI regions. You will drive automation, collaborate with Network Automation, and manage data center fabrics, edge networks, backbone, and multi-cloud connectivity across a vast infrastructure.

The role requires deep knowledge of network protocols, programming skills for automation at scale, and the ability to mentor junior staff.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science preferred.
8+ years of related experience in large ISP or cloud provider environments.
Strong Python for automation and datacenter design.
Experience with BGP/OSPF/IS-IS, TCP/IP, IPv4/IPv6, DNS, DHCP, MPLS.
Exposure to Ethernet hardware (Broadcom/Mellanox) and networking protocols.
Knowledge of network modeling languages: YANG, OpenConfig, NETCONF.
Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to mentor others.

Responsibilities

Lead network lifecycle programs by defining high-level objectives and delivery procedures.
Coordinate engineers and support milestones; may serve as technical lead.
Act as SME for root cause analysis and complex network issues.
Develop automation scripts to support scale and reliability.
