Job summary

Oracle's Network Region Build team designs, deploys, and operates large-scale global cloud networks for OCI regions. You will drive automation, architecture, and cross-functional collaboration to support millions of connected servers and backbone connectivity.

The role emphasizes network lifecycle programs, SME leadership, and technical coaching, with broad vendor collaboration and complex problem solving.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science preferred, with 8+ years of related experience.
Experience in a large ISP or cloud provider environment.
Demonstrated knowledge of Python for automation and datacenter design.
Exposure to Ethernet hardware and protocols such as BGP/OSPF/IS-IS, TCP/IPv4/IPv6, DNS, DHCP, MPLS.
Experience with Internet peering and inter-domain networking.
Experience with scripting or automation and datacenter design; OpenConfig/NETCONF/YANG familiarity.
Experience with automation systems, framework design/use and deployment.

Responsibilities

Define high-level objectives and delivery procedures for network lifecycle programs.
Lead engineers, coordinate with management, and act as SME in cross-functional activities.
Decompose architectures into detailed designs; ensure monitoring and automation support.
Lead network automation design and delivery projects; provide root-cause analysis.
Provide guidance and coaching to junior staff.
