Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Network Deploy Technician to join the Global Network Delivery team in Johnstown, OH. You will work with minimum supervision to drive stability and scale of our next‑generation networks, supporting data center locations and collaborating with internal customers and vendors.

The role involves troubleshooting networking, routing and interconnectivity, hardware migrations, and 24/7 operations. Expect travel up to 20% regionally and occasionally internationally.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of computer networking experience.
• High school or equivalent diploma

Responsibilities

• Manage work and priorities through ticketing system and workflows to complete customer requests and projects.
• Collaboration with various stakeholders to remove project obstacles
• Troubleshoot networking, routing and interconnectivity issues, including troubleshooting of network device configuration and low level application interaction
• Up to 20% travel within geographical work area is required. Some travel outside traditional work area may be requested, including internationally
• Troubleshooting cabling infrastructure connectivity issues, including patch panels and patch cords
• Specifying Power and Cooling requirements and ensuring Hardware Racking/Stacking completed for new equipment
• Participate in the migration, basic configuration and rollout of new or upgraded hardware
• Moving and lifting computer equipment up to 40 lbs
• Availability to work in an environment that operates 24/7
