Job summary

Amazon AWS is seeking a Network Deployment Technician to build and maintain cloud computing infrastructure across data centers and colocation sites in the Americas, including Mesa, AZ. The role requires working independently at times, driving changes while communicating clearly with stakeholders.

Responsibilities include installing networking gear, troubleshooting, coordinating remote hands, and leading deployment projects with cross-functional teams. Travel up to 50% may be required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of computer hardware troubleshooting and repair experience.
• 1+ years of computer networking experience.
• High school or equivalent diploma.
• Experience dealing effectively with customers during problem resolution and operating efficiently under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Install and configure routers, switches and DWDM hardware.
• Troubleshoot fiber optic and copper cabling, network installations and configuration.
• Coordinate colocation remote hands for new capacity installations.
• Work cross-functionally with internal partners to deliver network capacity projects.
• Perform site audits to ensure safety and quality per AWS standards.
• Lead small to mid-size network deployment projects.
