Amazon Web Services (AWS) Infrastructure Services designs, plans, delivers, and operates all AWS global infrastructure. We support new data centers and provide the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling that keep the cloud running. We are looking for talent to help us solve complex supply‑chain problems and contribute to cloud reliability.

The role is a Network Deploy Technician. You will work independently in a dynamic environment to support new data‑center locations, assist with capacity management, and help develop innovative automation and scaling solutions for our next‑generation networks.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Manage work and priorities through the ticketing system and workflows to complete customer requests and projects.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to remove project obstacles.
• Troubleshoot networking, routing, and inter‑connectivity issues, including device configuration and low‑level application interaction.
• Travel up to 20% within the geographic work area; some out‑of‑area or international travel may be requested.
• Investigate cabling infrastructure issues, including patch panels and patch cords.
• Specify power and cooling requirements and ensure hardware racking/stacking is completed for new equipment.
• Participate in the migration, basic configuration, and rollout of new or upgraded hardware.

Physical Requirements

• Regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds; participate in group lifts for 41+ pounds.
• Work in an environment that operates 24/7, including rotating primary responder shifts and after‑hours support as needed.
• Work in cramped, elevated, and/or noisy environments.
• Bend, lift, stretch, reach, stand, and walk for up to 8+ hours a day.
• Ascend and descend ladders, stairs, and gangways safely without limitation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years of experience in computer hardware repair, infrastructure cabling, network deployment, data center operations, or technical project management.
• Industry‑standard certification (CompTIA, CCENT, or Network+), or experience in a relevant field such as computer science or networking engineering.
• Experience with network troubleshooting tools, including VFLs, OTDR, and power meters.
• Understanding of infrastructure technologies such as routers, switches, load balancers, and firewalls.
• Knowledge of major command‑line protocols (Cisco IOS, JunOS, GNU/Linux) and common networking protocols (BGP, OSPF).
