Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking a Clean Energy and Sustainability Leader to advance enterprise energy efficiency, support data center sustainability, and coordinate initiatives across global operations. You will contribute to energy strategy, engage with cross-functional teams, and influence decarbonization efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Sustainability, Environmental Science, or related field.
• 4-7+ years of experience in energy management, sustainability, facility operations, or related roles.
• Experience with Renewable energy technologies and energy systems including data center design.
• Experience coordinating or contributing to energy or sustainability projects with analytical skills.
• Effective communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience supporting clean energy procurement and interactions with utilities and PPAs.
• Experience with building-to-grid technologies and distributed energy resources.

Responsibilities

• Support the evolution and implementation of clean energy and sustainability strategies.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to plan and execute energy and sustainability projects across facilities.
• Evaluate renewable energy opportunities, efficiency improvements, and emissions reductions; support implementation.
• Track market trends, policy developments, and emerging technologies to inform decisions.
• Prepare presentations and communications for leadership and partners.
• Assess grid interactions and decarbonization pathways to optimize outcomes.
• Identify opportunities for operations to respond to grid signals and cost considerations.
