Job summary

Exoben Inc. seeks a seasoned Chief Battery Technology Officer to lead our global battery technology strategy, oversee the full battery stack, and drive scalable product development across LithioX and SodioX.

You will partner with engineering, manufacturing, and product teams to move breakthrough research into durable, cost-effective energy storage solutions for EV, solar, and grid applications, embedding safety and regulatory excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Electrical Engineering or a related field. A Master’s or PhD is strongly preferred.
• 15 years or more of experience in battery technology or energy storage.
• Deep understanding of lithium-ion and sodium-ion systems.
• Experience leading engineering or research teams.
• Knowledge of moving technology from research into large-scale production.
• Strong decision-making with clear technical judgment.
• Ability to communicate complex ideas in a simple way.

Responsibilities

• Define and lead Exoben’s battery technology strategy across LithioX and SodioX platforms.
• Oversee all battery engineering including cell design, materials, thermal systems and battery management systems.
• Guide research and development to improve energy density, safety, cycle life and cost efficiency.
• Work with manufacturing teams to ensure battery designs are scalable and ready for production.
• Ensure all battery systems meet global safety and regulatory standards.
• Support integration of battery systems into energy storage, solar and EV infrastructure products.
• Evaluate new technologies and materials that can improve performance or reduce cost.
• Identify technical risks and ensure strong solutions are implemented early.
• Build and lead a high‑performing global battery team.
• Represent Exoben in technical discussions with partners, investors and regulators.
