Job summary

Exoben Inc. is seeking a highly technical Director, Advanced Battery Research to lead its battery R&D portfolio in the United States. You will drive development of new materials, chemistries and concepts to enhance energy density, safety and lifecycle while translating lab results into scalable products.

You will lead diverse teams, coordinate with engineering and manufacturing, and collaborate with external partners to push the boundaries of next‑generation battery technologies.

Qualifications

• PhD preferred with 10–15 years of battery research or advanced materials experience.
• Strong understanding of electrochemistry and battery materials.
• Proven track record leading research teams and labs, moving concepts to real products.

Responsibilities

• Lead Exoben’s advanced battery research programs across LithioX™ and SodioX™ platforms.
• Oversee research in new cathodes, anodes, electrolytes and separators.
• Improve energy density, cycle life, safety and charging performance.
• Develop next‑generation battery technologies including solid‑state chemistries.
• Collaborate with engineering to transition research into product development.
• Partner with universities and external labs; manage testing and validation.
• Document findings and support IP development.
• Identify emerging technologies and assess real‑world potential.
• Build and lead a high‑performing team of scientists.
