Job summary

Reworld seeks a Senior Global Commodity Manager for Chemicals Reagents to lead enterprise-wide strategy, sourcing, and supplier partnerships across waste-to-energy and industrial operations. The role focuses on lime, ammonia, urea, water chemicals, carbon products, and more, driving cost optimization, quality, and reliability.

The position is a senior individual contributor with cross-functional leadership, mentoring procurement professionals and guiding category strategies globally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Supply Chain, Procurement, Business, or related field.
• 7+ years in strategic sourcing, commodity management, procurement, or commercial management.
• Experience in chemical industry procurement or strong technical background with procurement experience.
• Experience developing and executing category/commodity strategies.
• Proven success managing strategic suppliers and improving performance.
• Experience leading competitive sourcing events and negotiating complex supply agreements.
• Understanding chemical applications, cost drivers, logistics, storage, and supply risks.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, communication, influencing, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to resolve supply and supplier-performance issues in an industrial environment.
• Ability to work across multiple facilities, regions, and functions; travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Develop enterprise-wide commodity strategies for chemicals and reagents.
• Lead sourcing process: market analysis, RFx development, supplier evaluation, negotiations, contracting, implementation and benefit tracking.
• Build and manage strategic relationships with key chemical and reagent suppliers.
• Lead supplier reviews, scorecards, escalations, and joint improvement plans.
• Ensure cost, safety, quality, service, delivery, and supply continuity.
• Collaborate with Operations, Logistics to optimize freight, inventory, and supply reliability.
• Identify opportunities for supplier consolidation and total-cost improvement.
• Balance enterprise strategies with site-specific requirements.
• Partner with facility leadership, regional procurement, Operations, Engineering, Environmental, Safety, Finance, Legal, and Logistics.
• Support supplier qualification and risk assessment activities.
• Monitor markets, feedstocks, capacity, and supply-chain risks.
• Develop backup suppliers and contingency plans.
• Deliver measurable savings, cost avoidance, and service improvements.
• Travel up to 30%, potentially international.
