Job summary

AstraZeneca plc in Gaithersburg seeks an ambitious Strategy and Commercial Executive Director to shape end-to-end Cell Therapy strategy. You will lead global commercial initiatives, partner with Therapeutic Areas, and align with pricing, brand and medical affairs to ensure launch readiness.

The role requires senior leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and a deep understanding of PH3ID forecasting and bioscience markets. In-office work is required three days weekly in multiple US locations.

Qualifications

• BA/BS with 10+ years in life sciences or related consulting.
• MS/MBA with 8+ years in life sciences or related consulting.
• PhD/MD with 5+ years in life sciences or related consulting.
• Ability to interact and communicate effectively with senior executive teams.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and influence experienced professionals.
• Strong analytical and communication skills; strategic thinking.

Responsibilities

• Deliver end-to-end strategy for a defined indication within Cell Therapy across PH3IDs.
• Own insights generation for R&D and commercial activities.
• Lead global commercial cell therapy within indication with cross-functional partners.
• Develop disease area strategy content with GPTs, Clinical Development and BI teams.
