Job summary

Stripe is building a new function to oversee Card Network Compliance. You will develop programs addressing card network changes, ensure monitoring and governance, and drive efficiency in response to network announcements.

You’ll lead cross-functional efforts, establish metrics and dashboards, and engage with external partners to advocate for Stripe’s interests and strategic positioning.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in the payments industry with card networks compliance.
• Experience with acquiring platforms and card network products and processes.
• Strong collaboration with product and engineering teams to develop new processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for internal/external partners.
• Ability to thrive with minimal guidance and drive a new program forward.

Responsibilities

• Implement a Release Management Process per Card Network mandates and inform cross-functional partners.
• Review biannual card network releases for key initiatives affecting Stripe’s business.
• Monitor compliance with card network requirements and internal policies; conduct audits.
• Develop metrics and dashboards (e.g., JIRA) to track mandates for each release cycle.
• Oversee the mandate intake process and manage waiver requests between compliance and operations.
• Engage with external network partners via councils, forums and strategic meetings.
• Advocate for Stripe and represent its interests in the card network ecosystem.
