Job summary

Stripe is seeking a seasoned professional to establish a new Card Network Compliance function within the Global Partner Engineering and Operations team. You will develop programs addressing card network changes and their impact on Stripe and its users, ensuring timely updates and proactive risk management.

You will drive release governance, monitor compliance, and build dashboards while engaging with external network partners and internal teams to align strategies with Stripe’s goals.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years in payments, with card networks and compliance.
• Understanding of acquiring platforms and card network interactions.
• Proficient with JIRA for project tracking and with card network portals.
• Proven collaboration with product and engineering to develop processes and strategies.
• Strong program management and stakeholder influence capabilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for internal and external partners.
• Ability to lead a new program with minimal guidance.
• Strategic thinker with cross-functional issue identification.

Responsibilities

• Establish a release management process aligned with card network mandates.
• Review biannual card network releases and coordinate cross-functional visibility.
• Monitor compliance with card network requirements and internal policies.
• Create metrics and dashboards to monitor release cycle mandates.
• Oversee mandate intake and prioritization; manage waiver requests.
• Engage with external network partners via councils and strategic meetings.
• Advocate for Stripe within the card network ecosystem.
