Job summary

The Chemours Company is seeking a Project Manager to lead capital projects across Chemours sites worldwide, reporting to the Senior Manager – Capital Projects. This role focuses on safety, quality and innovation while coordinating with global teams.

Responsibilities include FEL through Start-Up, front-end loading, budget control, scheduling, and contractor oversight. Travel up to 40% and ability to work in Central or Eastern time zones are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years managing capital projects.
• Minimum 3 years in a chemical plant environment.
• Minimum 2 years with field construction or contract management.
• Experience in projects $1M–$20M and ability to manage multiple projects.
• Strong communication, leadership and teamwork skills.
• Experience with engineering/design contractors and scheduling tools.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related software.
• Based in Central (CT) or Eastern (ET) time zones with ability to travel.

Responsibilities

• Identify project team resources and secure staffing.
• Define roles, responsibilities and deliverables.
• Establish clear communications with stakeholders.
• Lead front-end loading and develop project scope, estimates and schedules.
• Drive scope, cost, schedule and resources for projects.
• Manage changes within approved budgets per policy.
• Ensure design standards and contractor alignment.
• Lead risk identification, mitigation and problem solving.
• Travel ~40% as required.
