Job summary

Lucid Motors is seeking a Sr. Global Supply Manager for Powertrain Capex in Phoenix, AZ. This role leads global sourcing strategy, supplier selection, contracting, and executing CapEx programs across engineering and manufacturing teams, including powertrain equipment, R&D/test gear, and tooling.

You will own supplier relationships, negotiate favorable terms, manage timelines, and travel 15–25% to supplier sites, bringing a technical or supply chain background and 5+ years in related roles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in technical, supply chain or finance discipline; MBA preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of Purchasing, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, or Engineering experience related to capital equipment.
• Experience with automotive assembly processes and supplier management.
• Strong negotiation, analysis, and problem‑solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Engineering and Manufacturing to identify qualified suppliers and timelines.
• Create RFQs, review quotations, and develop sourcing recommendations balancing cost, quality, and lead time.
• Negotiate contracts covering pricing, tooling, development, timing, spare parts, and payment terms.
• Manage supplier development, design changes, and equipment timelines through prototype to production.
• Maintain supplier relationships and report sourcing status and costs to internal teams.
• Drive early involvement with design to ensure manufacturability and capex opportunities.
• Travel 15–25% to supplier sites for reviews and inspections.
