Business Development Director – US Defense Sector

Requirements: Defense Sector Experience and a DoD Security Clearance are required.

We seek a seasoned Business Development Director with expertise in the U.S. Defense Sector to join our global team. This role is based in the U.S. and focuses on expanding Ericsson’s presence in North America.

Responsibilities
  1. US Innovation Focus: Collaborate with Ericsson US teams to innovate within the U.S. Defense mobile communications ecosystem, aligning with the DoD's FutureG plans.
  2. Strategic Initiatives: Lead execution of initiatives to remove barriers, strengthen partnerships, and promote US Defense mobile communications innovation.
  3. Market Engagement: Engage with senior industry executives to position Ericsson as a leader in MCN innovation.
  4. Cross-Functional Coordination: Lead and mentor teams working on market and business development programs in the defense sector.
  5. Performance Oversight: Track and ensure initiatives meet milestones and deliver measurable results.
Minimum Requirements
  • Deep understanding of the critical communications market, including industry dynamics, regulations, and ecosystem.
  • Experience in business development and procurement with government and defense agencies.
  • Knowledge of operational requirements and complex technology solutions in defense communications.
  • Experience with long lifecycle business models and total cost of ownership analysis.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
  • At least 10 years of experience in US Defense sector business development or related fields.
  • Strong strategic vision and ability to influence industry standards.
  • Proven ability to drive large-scale initiatives.
