Business Development Director – US Defense Sector

Defense Sector Experience and a DoD Security Clearance is Required for this position.

We seek a seasoned Business Development Director specializing in the U.S. Defense Sector to join our global team. This role will be based in the U.S., aligning with Ericsson’s strategic focus on expanding its presence in the North American market.

Responsibilities
  1. Manage strategic programs and initiatives to drive impactful market development in the US Defense sector.
  2. Enhance US Defense sector mobile communications innovation to evolve towards next generations.
  3. Ensure alignment with Ericsson’s strategic goals within the defense sector.
  4. Shape how defense organizations leverage mission-critical connectivity for operational excellence.
  5. Engage with senior industry leaders to position Ericsson as a leader in MCN innovation.
  6. Lead cross-functional teams on high-impact programs and mentor junior team members.
  7. Track and document market development initiatives to ensure measurable results.
Minimum Requirements
  • Deep understanding of the critical communications market, including industry dynamics, regulations, and ecosystems.
  • At least 10 years of experience in US Defense sector business development, government procurement, or critical communications.
  • Experience working with government and public agencies in defense communications services.
  • Strong analytical skills and strategic vision to align with long-term company goals.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
  • Security clearance from the DoD is required.
