Job summary

Twist Bioscience Corporation seeks a Director of Logistics to build and scale our global logistics function, overseeing shipping, warehousing, and cold chain operations to support Next Gen Sequencing and DNA Synthesis products worldwide.

You will lead a multi-site team, drive cross-border regulatory compliance, optimize logistics strategies, and partner with manufacturing, QA, and finance to meet runtime and cost targets in a fast-growing biotech environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, logistics, business, engineering, or related field.
• 12+ years in logistics and supply chain, with 5+ years in senior leadership.
• Deep expertise in cold chain logistics (2–8°C, –20°C, –80°C) and packaging qualification.
• Proven international shipping and trade compliance experience.
• Strong warehousing and 3PL management, including WMS implementation and optimization.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end logistics, including domestic and international shipping, warehousing, and cold chain operations.
• Improve cold chain programs to protect product integrity through storage, handling, and transport.
• Oversee international shipping, customs clearance, Incoterms, and coordination with freight forwarders and carriers.
• Manage warehouse operations across facilities, ensuring inventory accuracy, space utilization, safety, and order fulfillment.
• Develop relationships with couriers and 3PLs; lead RFP/RFQ processes and negotiate contracts.
