Job summary

Vertex Pharmaceuticals Incorporated seeks an Associate Director of Logistics Operations to lead end-to-end distribution for Small Molecule and Biologics. You will manage temperature-controlled shipments, 3PL relations, and global logistics while collaborating with Clinical Ops, QA, and manufacturing teams to enable product delivery across the network.

Qualifications

• 7–10+ years of progressive experience in Supply Chain, Logistics and/or manufacturing leadership in pharma.
• Master's degree in business or supply chain or industrial engineering or finance preferred.
• Experience building and managing global logistics operations and network design.
• Proven cross-functional collaboration and partner management across internal and external teams.
• Understanding GDP operations and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end logistics for small molecule and biologics across a network.
• Oversee site‑to‑site materials movement, API, Start Material, and related components.
• Develop programs with 3PLs for warehousing, transport and international logistics.
• Drive logistics network strategy aligned with Vertex's goals.
• Monitor LSP performance, conduct audits, RFPs, and contract support.
• Implement continuous improvements in logistics infrastructure and processes.
• Coordinate cross‑functional projects and liaise with QA, Clinical Ops and PMs.
• Ensure compliant trade management for domestic and international shipments.
