Job summary

Altera in San Jose, CA is seeking an experienced Benefits Specialist to lead global benefits administration across the US, Canada, Mexico and EMEA, ensuring compliance and alignment with business goals.

You will partner with HR, Payroll, Finance, and Legal, manage Workday Benefits, run annual renewals, open enrollment, and develop analytics to monitor enrollment and costs. Ideal candidates have 2–5 years in tech and strong PM and communication skills.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of benefits administration experience in a technology company.
• Strong project management, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Experience managing multinational benefits programs (US/Canada/Mexico/EMEA).
• Knowledge of health, welfare, retirement, and compliance requirements.
• Experience with Workday benefits implementations, enhancements, or global projects.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day benefits administration across NA and EMEA.
• Support design and ongoing improvement of global benefits programs.
• Lead annual renewals, plan design changes, and open enrollment.
• Oversee compliance with ERISA/ACA/COBRA/HIPAA and related filings.
• Develop reports/analytics to monitor enrollment, costs, and program effectiveness.
