Job summary

Via seeks a Benefits Manager to lead the strategy, administration, and execution of US and global health, welfare, retirement, and wellness programs. You will optimize the employee experience across the benefits lifecycle, ensure regulatory compliance, and scale offerings for a growing team.

This is a hands-on role collaborating with People Operations, payroll, and external partners. You will drive annual Open Enrollment, manage leave workflows, and deliver clear employee communications.

Qualifications

• 4–6+ years in US benefits administration.
• Experience with self-insured plans, ERISA/ACA knowledge.
• Familiar with COBRA, FMLA, HIPAA.
• Experience working with unionized employee populations.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end benefits experience from enrollment to offboarding, including COBRA and status updates.
• Lead monthly carrier billing reconciliation and audits with payroll/finance.
• Support compliance with federal, state and local regulations (ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA).
• Maintain plan documents and lead annual Open Enrollment project management and HRIS setup.
• Assist with leaves of absence workflows in coordination with People Operations and Payroll.
• Manage benefit administration within HRIS (Workday) and audit carrier integrations.
