Job summary

Tandem Diabetes Care is seeking a Director of Benefits to lead our Employee Benefits function across the US, Canada, and EMEA. You’ll partner with HR and Finance to align benefits with strategy, manage vendors, and ensure compliant, competitive offerings.

Responsibilities include educating leadership, shaping benefits programs, leaving policies, and driving efficiencies while maintaining confidentiality and SOX compliance as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• PHR, SPHR or other HR-related certifications strongly preferred.
• 12 years’ progressive experience developing, implementing, and measuring Employee Benefit programs globally.
• 5 years’ leading teams of Employee Benefits.
• Strong knowledge of self-funded insurance, COBRA, ERISA, FMLA, ADA, and related regulations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, strategic thinking and planning.
• Ability to analyze data and report results clearly.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Employee Benefits function across US, Canada, and EMEA.
• Partner with HR and Finance to design and budget benefits strategy.
• Manage vendor relationships and monitor service levels and costs.
• Educate and influence management and employees on benefits programs.
• Ensure compliance with ERISA, FMLA, COBRA, HIPAA, ACA, and related laws.
• Oversee leave management programs and privacy compliance.
