Job summary

AMETEK, Inc. is seeking a DVP Business Development for Energy and Process Instrumentation in the Pittsburgh area to lead growth initiatives and strategic market expansion across multiple process instrumentation brands.

The role partners with BU leadership and product/engineering teams to translate market opportunities into actionable plans that drive double-digit orders, sales, and profit growth. Frequent global travel is expected and a strong emphasis on data-driven decision making is required.

Qualifications

Proven experience in business development, strategy, or commercial leadership.
Strong understanding of capital equipment markets and process instrumentation.
Ability to translate strategy into executable plans with measurable financial outcomes.
Experience driving cross-functional initiatives in a decentralized organization.
Executive-level communication and influence across internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Develop and lead growth strategy across EPI BU aligned to divisional strategic priorities.
Drive double-digit growth in orders, sales, and operating profit.
Translate priorities into initiatives with defined owners, timelines, and financial impact.
Establish operating cadence to track pipeline, growth initiatives and execution progress.
Identify high-value growth segments across core EPI markets and perform market sizing, segmentation, and competitive analysis.
Lead cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Engineering and Product Management across businesses.
Oversee NPD investments alignment to growth opportunities and prioritization.
