Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Network Development Engineer to join the Backbone Enterprise, and Regional Engineering team.

You will deploy and scale network infrastructure across global datacenters, collaborating with Systems and Software Engineers to move designs to production and to define scalable automation tools. The role requires strong IP networking knowledge, routing protocols (BGP/OSPF), and experience with Cisco IOS, Junos, and Linux/Unix.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and strong IP networking fundamentals.
• Experience with BGP/OSPF routing and network troubleshooting.
• Proficiency with Cisco IOS, Junos and Linux/Unix environments.

Responsibilities

• Deploy network infrastructure across AWS services and datacenters.
• Scale and automate network deployment across global footprints.
• Drive design validation and enforce network standards.
• Collaborate with internal customers to turn designs into production.
• Define tools with automation teams to enable higher scale.
• Manage changes to network configurations and deployments.
• Support off-hours operations and problem resolution when needed.
