Job summary

Ledgent is seeking an Assistant Controller to oversee day-to-day accounting operations, serve as a technical accounting leader, manage accounting staff, and support organizational growth. This role owns the close process, audit management, technical accounting, ERP initiatives, and process improvement efforts.

Responsibilities include owning monthly, quarterly, and annual close; maintaining general ledger integrity; leading GAAP audits; developing policies; ASC 606 and contract accounting;

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA or CMA designation.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong revenue recognition and manufacturing cost accounting experience.
• Experience leading GAAP audits.
• Advanced Excel and ERP system experience.
• Eligible to obtain a U.S. government security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Own monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Maintain general ledger integrity and oversee fixed assets, AP, and AR governance.
• Lead annual GAAP audits and maintain audit readiness.
• Develop accounting policies, controls, and documentation.
• Own ASC 606 revenue recognition and contract accounting compliance.
• Oversee inventory and cost accounting, including production costing and WIP.
• Support ERP implementation and accounting process automation.
• Lead, mentor, and develop accounting team members.
