Job summary

The Sherwin-Williams Company is seeking an Accounts Payable Supervisor to lead the AP team within Sherwin Business Services (SBS) in Cleveland. The role drives end-to-end procure-to-pay processing, ensures SOX controls, analyzes metrics, and implements process improvements for efficiency and accuracy.

You will partner with Procurement, Treasury, and Controllership, manage workload, and champion automation and scalable P2P processes across business units.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
• 3+ years of progressive financial and/or accounting experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel and Office products.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Strong understanding of GAAP principles related to AP.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end AP processing: invoice intake, 2/3-way match, approvals, payment runs, and month-end accruals.
• Manage daily queues and work allocation to meet SLAs for invoice cycle time and payment timeliness.
• Ensure adherence to SOX/internal controls and audit readiness.
• Coordinate with Treasury, Operations, and Controllership on accruals and period-close activities.
• Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing AP team and maintain productivity metrics.
