Job summary

V2X, Inc. is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic to maintain and repair aircraft structures, landing gear, flight surfaces and controls in a DoD environment. A DoD Secret clearance and a high school diploma with specialized repair training are required.

The role involves troubleshooting malfunctions, supervising jacking and towing, reading blueprints, and ensuring maintenance procedures are followed to keep aircraft safe and ready for operations.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of specialized courses in aircraft structural repair.
• Ability to read and interpret data and blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and repairs aircraft components including flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems, and mechanical components.
• Replace or repair worn or damaged components using hand tools and testing equipment; remove engine, inspect parts for wear or defects, and reinstall.
• Adjusts or replaces electrical wiring and aircraft accessories; perform preflight, thru-flight, and post-flight maintenance inspections.
