Job summary

V2X Inc. is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic in Maryland who will troubleshoot and repair aircraft structures, engines, and systems to keep fleets safe and ready. You will lead teams on complex maintenance tasks and ensure compliance with DoD and NAVCAN standards.

The role requires four years of relevant experience, a DoD Secret clearance, a high school diploma, and a valid state driver’s license; willingness to work under physically demanding conditions is essential.

Qualifications

• DoD Secret Level security clearance required.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of specialized courses in aircraft structural repair.
• Four years of hands-on repair and maintenance on specified aircraft.
• Valid US state driver's license.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Ability to obtain a government flight line driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair aircraft components including flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems, and mechanical components.
• Replace or repair worn components using hand tools, gauges, and testing equipment and inspect engine parts.
• Adjust, repair, or replace electrical wiring and perform preflight, thru-flight, and post-flight inspections.
• Apply knowledge of airframe and power plant systems to determine malfunctions.
• Supervise jacking and towing of aircraft and lead complex tasks when required.
• Prioritize workload and document entries in aircraft logs; comply with NAV/COM publications.
