Job summary

Adecco in Houston, TX seeks an Air & Ocean Export Agent to manage shipments end-to-end, communicate with clients and carriers, and ensure accurate export documentation. The role emphasizes proactive customer service, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple shipments in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include preparing bills of lading, SEDs, tracking shipments, and providing timely billing information to the Accounting Department.

Qualifications

• Experience in Import/Export, Freight Forwarding, Logistics, Air Export, or Ocean Export preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple shipments in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented with good organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Process and coordinate export shipments from start to finish.
• Prepare shipping documentation, dock receipts, bills of lading, and export declarations.
• File SEDs and ensure export documentation is accurate and complete.
• Track and trace cargo to ensure proper movement and delivery.
• Provide the Accounting Department with accurate billing information.
• Communicate with clients regarding shipment status, routing, and rate quotations.
• Coordinate with vendors on dispatch, routing, pricing, and rates.
• Determine the most profitable and efficient shipment method while meeting client requirements.
• Maintain strong client relationships and proactive customer service.
• Handle multiple shipments and priorities while maintaining accuracy.
• Resolve shipment issues in a timely and professional manner.
• Perform other duties related to export operations as assigned.
