Job summary

Aries Freight Systems Lp is seeking a logistics professional for an ocean export role in Houston. Responsibilities include coordinating shipments, handling documents, and communicating with customers, vendors and overseas agents. You will also manage AES transmissions, quotations and movement of freight, ensuring compliance with U.S.

Qualifications

• Two years of ocean export or similar experience.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate shipments with Shippers and Receivers.
• Respond promptly and professionally to customer needs.
• Communicate with customers, staff and vendors.
• Correspond with overseas agents and clients.
• Book cargo.
• Handle AES Transmissions.
• Issue documents such as B/L, Dock Receipt, Booking Order, C.O., etc.
• Handle the preparation of documents based on Letter of Credit requirements.
• Prepare other documents as required by customer.
• Send Pre-Alerts via email and original docs via international courier when required.
• Invoice files.
• Learn and apply U.S. Government regulations.
• Work with steamship line/trucking companies to obtain quotations and handle the movement of freight.
• Prepare quotations.
• Successfully perform business tasks and responsibilities as assigned by management.
