Job summary

Maersk in the United States seeks a Business Development Manager – Air Freight to identify, attract, and secure new air freight customers, building lasting relationships that drive growth and loyalty.

You will collaborate with the North America Air Freight Product team, manage Salesforce CRM, and promote value-based solutions to customers. A Bachelor's degree and 3+ years in external air freight sales are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• 3+ years external sales in International Air Freight.
• Persuasive, value-based selling.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and sales tools.
• Experience using Salesforce and AI-driven sales tools.
• Financial acumen to support value-based sales propositions.
• Ability to work under pressure with strategic focus.

Responsibilities

• Pursue and secure new Air Freight SME business in line with objectives.
• Identify customer needs and provide value-based solutions.
• Build understanding of target customers and develop a robust account base.
• Establish and maintain in-person relationships to be provider of choice.
• Communicate trends, rate changes, and policies to customers.
• Research and analyze global/local Air Freight trends.
• Maintain CRM records in Salesforce to ensure healthy pipeline.
• Collaborate with North America Air Freight Product to grow revenue.
• Partner with capacity and campaign managers to formalize plans.
