Job summary

Yusen Logistics Americas Inc. is seeking an Air Export Agent II in College Park, MD to manage air export shipments from booking through confirmation. You will interact with carriers and customers to ensure accurate documentation and timely updates.

The role requires 3–5 years in logistics, strong MSP skills, and a focus on regulatory compliance, safety standards, and efficient operations. On-site role with potential for growth and exposure to global freight networks.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required with 3–5 years of related experience.
• Experience in logistics/freight forwarding is required.
• Proficiency with Windows and Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent customer service skills with strong interpersonal abilities.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Knowledge of air/ocean space configurations and loading constraints, and hazmat handling certification.
• Ability to read, analyze, and respond to verbal and written requests; clear written communication.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, and Outlook on Windows.

Responsibilities

• Take booking requests and secure bookings at current rates.
• Coordinate with carriers, origin/destination locations on shipment status.
• Monitor shipments through to completion and update customers accordingly.
• Review export documentation for accuracy and obtain missing documents.
• Build relationships with customers, offices, overseas agents, and service providers.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs, TSA, QA standards, and IMDG guidelines.
• Handle special shipments (perishables or special accounts) when required.
• Report operational anomalies and new customer requirements to management.
