Job summary

Amazon seeks a Senior Manager, Global Air & Energy Programs to own the global air and energy strategy. You will lead cross-functional teams, develop multi-year plans, manage budgets, and ensure auditable execution of compliance across regions.

You will collaborate with Legal, regulators, and technology teams to accelerate solutions, drive continuous improvement, and embed environmental accountability into daily operations.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of risk management, audit, legal, compliance or related field work with external stakeholders
• Lean principles and process improvement in operations
• Experience in a global company with multi-country responsibilities
• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) or related field
• 7+ years of team management with 6+ direct reports

Responsibilities

• Establish cross-organizational alignment on air and energy compliance across regions and units
• Own strategic air and energy program roadmap including air quality, emissions, permitting, GHG, and energy management
• Develop multi-year operating plans, budgets, and resource strategies balancing compliance with infrastructure investment
• Operate program controllership mechanisms to drive speed, quality, and accountability
• Communicate strategy and status to Director/VP-level audiences across functions
• Collaborate with Legal, regulators, consultants, and tech teams to remove barriers and accelerate compliance
• Define and govern KPI and compliance metric frameworks for real-time visibility
• Lead talent management including hiring, onboarding, and development planning
• Oversee third-party contractors and vendors with governance and audits
• Work autonomously in ambiguous regulatory environments to deliver scalable compliance outcomes
• Embed air and energy objectives into day-to-day operations
