Job summary

Amazon’s Global Environmental Assurance and Protection team seeks a Senior Manager, Global Air & Energy Programs to own the global air and energy strategy and drive high-impact programs across the company. You will lead multi-year planning and real-time execution, turning complex requirements into durable, auditable field execution.

The role requires deep regulatory expertise, strategic leadership, and a track record of building cross-organizational consensus to meet ambitious compliance

Qualifications

• 10+ years of risk management, audit, legal, compliance or related field work including engaging with external stakeholders experience.
• Experience in risk management, audit, legal, compliance or a related field including engaging with external stakeholders
• Experience implementing lean principles and process improvement in an operational environment
• Experience working within a global company, with multi-country responsibilities
• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) or related field
• 7+ years of team management with 6 or more direct reports experience

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain cross-organizational alignment on a unified air and energy compliance vision across regions and units.
• Own the strategic air and energy program roadmap, including air quality, emissions, permitting, GHG, and energy management programs.
• Develop multi-year operating plans, budgets, and resource allocation strategies.
• Build and operate program controllership mechanisms for risk and accountability.
• Communicate strategy and status to Directors and VPs across functions.
• Partner with Legal, regulators, and technical teams to resolve barriers and accelerate solutions.
• Define and govern KPI frameworks providing real-time visibility of program performance.
• Lead talent management including hiring, onboarding, and development planning.
• Oversee work by contractors and vendors with audits and governance.
• Work autonomously in a regulatory environment to deliver outcomes at scale.
• Embed air and energy objectives into day-to-day operations.
