Job summary

Newell Brands, a global consumer products leader, seeks a Director, Global AI Security & CISO Initiatives to drive strategic security programs within the Office of the CISO. You will translate security strategy into executable plans, coordinating with IT, Legal, Internal Audit, Privacy, HR, Finance, and business units to deliver measurable security outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in cybersecurity, IT, business or risk management.
• Eight+ years of progressive cybersecurity, technology, or security strategy experience.
• Experience supporting senior executives and leading cross-functional initiatives globally.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity strategy, governance, and operating models.
• Ability to translate technical risk into clear business terms for executives.
• Experience with strategic planning, financial planning, and portfolio management.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or similar.
• Experience using AI tools and familiarity with major LLMs.

Responsibilities

• Execute the CISO strategy, roadmap, priorities, and objectives.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives crossing org boundaries.
• Manage the Office of the CISO operations and executive communications.
• Coordinate budget, forecasting, and resource allocation for InfoSec.
• Develop KPIs and monitoring for security programs and AI initiatives.
• Prepare executive briefings for boards and leadership.
