Job summary

LaunchDarkly is seeking a Senior Accounting Manager to lead a global accounting team, own close processes, and drive technical accounting across ASC 718, 842, and 830. You will partner with Finance, Technology, and business units to automate workflows and improve controls.

The role requires hands-on accounting with 8+ years of experience, strong US GAAP knowledge, and experience in multi-entity environments. CPA preferred; based in Oakland, CA with on-site work expectations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• Eight+ years progressive accounting experience.
• At least three years leading a team of accountants.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP.
• Hands-on NetSuite (or similar ERP) experience.
• Experience with automation/AI in accounting operations.
• Experience in multi-entity, multi-currency environment.
• Ability to explain complex accounting to leaders and auditors.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a global accounting team.
• Manage close activities for core accounting functions and accelerate timelines.
• Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analyses per US GAAP.
• Lead technical accounting (ASC 718, ASC 842, ASC 830) with memos.
• Drive procure-to-pay tool implementation across stakeholders.
• Support international accounting and intercompany reporting.
• Partner with Technology on ERP enhancements and reporting.
• Document policies, controls, and key procedures.
• Identify workflow and AI automation opportunities across close.
