Job summary

Safelite Group, Inc. is hiring a Warehouse Associate I in Portland, ME. The role involves preparing glass for distribution to field teams and ensuring on-time shipping to serve customers.

You’ll operate MHE equipment, use RF scanners, and help with loading, unloading, and maintaining a safe workspace. The position offers up to $25/hour, weekly pay, comprehensive benefits over $10k value, tuition reimbursement up to $5,250 annually, paid training, and access to Safelite benefits resources.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Valid state-issued driver's license and ability to operate a company vehicle; must pass MVR.
• Experience with MHE equipment including order picker, forklift, and reach truck.
• Strong preference for candidates with order picker experience.
• Weight limit for order picker operation: 300 lbs.
• Physical ability to lift 35–50 lbs.
• Comfortable with varied environmental conditions and long shifts.
• Punctuality and consistent attendance; positive service mindset.

Responsibilities

• Operate MHE and be certified on forklift, reach truck, and order picker to access heights up to 40 feet.
• Use RF scanners to receive, pick, ship, or locate inventory; focus on glass orders.
• Occasionally drive and deliver automotive glass, accessories, and parts to store locations.
• Adhere to safety and PPE requirements.
• Assist with offloading tractor trailers with hand or forklift.
• Maintain a clean and secure work area.
• Fulfill other duties as assigned.
