Job summary

Safelite in New York is seeking a Technician Trainee to learn the Safelite way through hands-on and classroom training, earning the Safelite SafeTech certification. You will observe, assist, and perform glass repair and replacement tasks while developing calibration skills and customer service excellence.

During training you’ll be paid weekly from $20.25/hour, increasing to $24/hour after certification; benefits include tuition reimbursement and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent preferred.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license to operate vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Observe and assist in installing and repairing auto glass.
• Recalibrate automotive safety systems and diagnose issues.
• Provide additional services and products.
• Study and pass testing to become Safelite-certified Technician.
• Safely operate company vehicles and tools.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Comply with all policies and standards.
