Job summary

Dover Food Retail is seeking an Assembler II to join our Richmond-based production team. The role focuses on assembling glass doors, frames, and subcomponents, following work orders and SOPs to meet daily safety, quality, and productivity targets.

Responsibilities include assembling parts, using various hand, electric, and pneumatic tools, inspecting outputs, and maintaining a clean work area. Candidates should have 1–2 years in production assembly and a high school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• 1 - 2 years of production assembly work.

Responsibilities

• Assemble component parts into sub-assemblies, assemblies, and completed units per traveler/standard work instructions.
• Use hand tools, electric tools, and pneumatic tools to complete tasks.
• Maintain performance standards for assembly, production, quality, safety, and housekeeping.
• Keep work area and common areas clean and orderly per 6-S program.
• Perform minor adjustments or setups to equipment or machines under supervision.
• Inspect parts or completed units using visual inspection, gauges, tape measures, check fixtures, calipers, etc.
• Report defective materials or questionable conditions to lead or supervisor; follow SOPs and instructions.
• Cross-train team members and assist with production as needed.
