Job summary

Dover Food Retail in Richmond, VA is seeking an Assembler II to join a productive team manufacturing glass doors, frames and subcomponents. Follow work orders and SOPs, use hand, electric and pneumatic tools, and meet safety, quality and delivery targets.

Responsibilities include assembling parts into sub-assemblies, inspecting with gauges and calipers, performing minor equipment setups, maintaining a clean 6S workspace, and reporting defects.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1–2 years of production assembly experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Basic reading, writing and math skills.
• Strong attention to safety, quality and process.
• Ability to read a tape measure and understand fractions and decimals.
• Team-oriented and adaptable to change.

Responsibilities

• Assemble components into sub-assemblies and completed units per work instructions.
• Operate hand, electric and pneumatic tools safely.
• Inspect parts using gauges, calipers and measurement tapes.
• Perform minor equipment setups under supervision.
• Maintain a clean, organized 6S workspace.
• Report defective materials or quality issues to supervisors.
• Follow SOPs and job specifications.
