Job summary

Dover Food Retail seeks an Assembler I to join our production team in South Chesterfield, VA. You will assemble glass doors, frames, and subcomponents and work closely with a production team to meet quality standards.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED and 1–2 years of assembly experience, with good communication skills and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Medical, dental, vision, 401k, and paid holidays are provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1-2 years of production assembly work preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assemble components into subassemblies and finished units following standard work instructions.
• Inspect parts and completed units with gauges, calipers, and inspection tools.
• Perform end-of-line checks and repairs as needed.
• Communicate with assemblers, leads, and supervisors about changes to ensure specs are met.
• Assist assembly groups with problem solving.
• Recommend in-line checks to improve first-pass yield.
