Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands in Marion, Ohio is seeking a Production Associate for the 1st shift (Mon-Thu, 6am-4:30pm) to fabricate component parts for final window assemblies. The role involves a fast-paced, physically demanding environment with heavy lifting and repetitive tasks across multiple workstations.

You will read work orders, measure materials, and use tools such as saws, welders, routers, and tape measures.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Authorized to work in the US.
• Able to pass a background check and drug test.
• Ability to follow written or verbal instructions.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds continually.
• Preferably with experience in manufacturing.
• Preferably with experience reading a tape measure.

Responsibilities

• Perform repetitive workstation operations to mass-produce windows, doors, and glass units.
• Support the window operations in delivering, wrapping, loading, and unloading of materials or windows.
• Perform any workstation function using hand or power tools, saws, welders, or routers.
• Understand and carry out verbal instructions.
• Read and carry out simple written instructions.
• Read work orders, labels, and schedules.
• Use a tape measure and read measurements during tasks.
• Operate any equipment needed to perform a job.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Base Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour

1st Shift:Monday-Thursday 6am-4:30pm

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Production Associate is responsible for the fabrication and production of the component parts for the final assembly of windows. Successful candidates enjoy working in a fast-paced, physically demanding, and repetitive work environment, which includes heavy lifting or working with your hands. This job description is reflective of tasks that will be performed in a variety of departments.

• Perform repetitive workstation operations to mass-produce windows, doors, and glass units
• May support the window operations in delivering, wrapping, loading, and unloading of materials or windows
• Perform any workstation function using hand or power tools, saws, welders, or routers
• Understand and carry out verbal instructions
• Read and carry out simple written instructions
• Read work orders, labels, and schedules
• Use a tape measure (will be asked to read measurements during interview), inspect, examine, and observe for product defects
• Make fraction and decimal conversions
• Operate any equipment needed to perform a job
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Provide on-the-job training to new employees

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age to apply.
